Kliniplast Border Waterproof is a waterproof nonwoven island plaster for the treatment of low to moderate exuding wounds such as acute and postoperative wounds. This sterile plaster consists of an absorbent wound dressing with a waterproof outer layer, which makes it possible to shower with this plaster. The wound dressing consists of an absorbent nonwoven layer with a special coating to prevent adhesion. The nonwoven backing is elastic with a hypoallergenic medical acrylic adhesive layer. The outer polyurethane film is semi-permeable and protects the wound from moisture and contamination. At the same time, this layer reduces the risk of maceration because water vapor can evaporate. The film layer is attached to a soft, flexible nonwoven layer that mechanically protects the wound and acts as a carrier material. A medical acrylic adhesive layer ensures a firm fixation on the skin. The wound contact layer on the island plaster absorbs exudate while the special coating reduces the risk of adhesion.
