An absorbent dressing such as Exsupad is ideally suited for the care of moderately to highly exuding wounds. Because the dressing is very soft and flexible, it is easy to apply to the wound and provides good padding. In addition, thanks to a special wound contact layer, it hardly adheres to the wound, making it easy and virtually painless to remove without interfering with healing. Fluid accumulation in the wound is prevented by the high absorption capacity: the fluid is quickly absorbed and well retained. The back of the dressing is provided with a special moisture-repellent, oxygen-permeable layer to protect clothing and bedding: a calm idea for the patient. The blue color of this layer gives a clear distinction, which prevents misuse; the white side of the dressing should be placed on the wound. Exsupad absorbent dressing can be fixed with a fixation bandage or plaster.
