Klinitulle Ointment compress

An ointment compress (or grease gauze) is used for superficial wounds such as
  • Abrasions
  • 2nd degree burns with intact blister
  • nail extractions.

It serves to prevent adhesion with the secondary bandage. This prevents the wound from drying out and also leaves the new granulation tissue intact when removed. In addition, it keeps the wound edges supple.

The ointment compress should be changed daily. It can be covered with a gauze or nonwoven compress and fixed with a Kliniplast adhesive plaster or a Klinifix fixation winding.
