Klinitulle Ointment compress

About Klinitulle ointment compress

An ointment compress (or fatty gauze) is used for superficial wounds such as abrasions, 2nd degree burns with intact blister or nail extractions. It serves to prevent adhesion to the secondary dressing. It prevents the wound from drying out and also leaves the new granulation tissue intact when removed. In addition, it keeps the wound edges supple. The ointment compress should be changed daily. It can be covered with a gauze or nonwoven compress and fixed with a Kliniplast adhesive plaster or a Klinifix fixation bandage.
