Directions for use

Kliniderm® Debride and Kliniderm® Debride Pocket can be used interchangeably. The pocket size is recommended when treating small wounds or when extra control is needed, while the debridement pad is recommended for treating large-sized supercial wounds. Mechanical debridement with the Kliniderm® Debride is best achieved following the directions below:

  1. Soak Kliniderm® with approximately 50-60ml of wound cleansing solution
  2. Applying gentle pressure, wipe the moistened side over the wound in a circular motion

Dressing change and removal

  1. Kliniderm® Superabsorbent can remain in place for up to 7 days, dependent on the condition of the patient and the level of exudate
  2. Replace Kliniderm® Superabsorbent when the dressing has reached its absorbent capacity or whenever good wound practice dictates that the dressing should be changed
  3. Gently remove the dressing from the wound bed and dispose according to local procedures and guidelines. If removal appears to be difficult, saturate the dressing with sterile saline solution
  4. If required, irrigate the wound site according to good wound care practice

Precautions

  • Take care when applying pressure or rubbing quickly and avoid causing the patient excessive pain
  • Ensure sterile application of the pad to the hand/finger, do not touch the wound contact side of the pad before use
