About Kliniplast Border
Kliniplast Border is a sterile, self-adhesive island dressing manufactured from conformable and breathable polyester-viscose non-woven backing. Central to the dressing is an absorbent 100% viscose wound pad with a hydrophobic polyethylene contact layer, designed to minimize adhesion of the pad to the wound bed and facilitate atraumatic dressing changes. Fixation is achieved with a medical-grade polyacrylate adhesive that provides secure and sustained adhesion without compromising the integrity of the periwound skin upon removal. The dressing features a rounded corner design to prevent edge lift and ensure reliable fixation during extended wear.

Product benefits
- Atraumatic removal. The absorbent viscose pad is covered with a hydrophobic polyethylene contact layer. This creates a non-adherent interface that absorbs exudate but prevents the dressing from sticking to the wound bed.
- Rounded corners. The dressing features rounded corners to prevent the edges from rolling up or catching on clothing, which ensures reliable fixation and reduces the need for premature dressing changes.
- Skin-friendly. Fixation is achieved with a medical-grade polyacrylate adhesive. This provides secure adhesion for extended wear while remaining gentle on the periwound skin during removal.
- Breathable backing. The polyester-viscose non-woven carrier is conformable and breathable. This reduces the risk of skin maceration and protects the wound from external contamination.
Indications
Kliniplast® Border is intended for the primary management of dry to low-exuding wounds.
In compliance with: Regulation (EU) 2017/745 Medical Device Regulation (MDR) Class Is; IFU not available (not mandatory if such devices can be used safely without any such instructions and unless otherwise provided according to MDR for Class Is products).
Application instructions
- Ensure the wound area is completely clean and dry before applying the dressing.
- Remove the release liners and place the central pad directly over the wound. Do not stretch the dressing or the skin during application to prevent possible skin injury or pain.
- Gently press down the adhesive border to ensure reliable fixation. This product is sterile and intended for single use only.
